Being from Hawaii, we are the embodiment of the Aloha spirit. Aloha is all encompassing and a “Feeling” you get that is inexplainable. In Oaxaca, I felt that! I truly felt it. Thanks to Alex, we really were able to experience just why the people of Oaxaca love their home so much. Alex was very knowledgeable about his homelands history, culinary traditions as well as the awe inspiring landmarks and artisans. We will most definitely be back to visit. I had an amazing time. Alex gave us a wonderful experience of just a few of the villages outside Oaxaca! His knowledge of the culture of its people was enlightening. We visited a marvelous alebrije studio, an inspirational red clay potter and of course a studio of barro negro. We will definitely book with Alex again!!

Alex brought our group to visit a very special family of textile makers in the village of Teotitlán. We learned so much about the fascinating making and rug process. The rugs were gorgeous. And due to Alex’s deep ties with the village, we were also able to get in a visit with famed candlemaker Doña Viviana Alávez. He also brought to a wonderful lunch spot outside the city. Thank you for a memorable adventure!

Highly recommended, we took the tour to Hierve el Agua , it is a beautiful place. Elias was excellent, all his recommendations and places we visited were amazing. He made recommendations to local eateries, vendors and authentic places. We got to experience the real Oaxaca flavors.

Alex was so knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his job. He speaks perfect English, which my parents appreciated as they aren’t fluent Spanish speakers. He had an answer for every question and was eager to share all of the magic of Oaxaca with our group. He was flexible with our plans as we had several small children with us, and was able to deliver on the experiences we didn’t want to miss, while still appeasing all of the age groups we had on board! We booked Alex Alex for a tour of Hierve El Agua, Mitla, El Tule, and Monte Alban and we learned all about the culture and ancient history of the Zapotecs. The tour included stops to learn how fabric is made, dyed, and woven, and the art of making mezcal. Alex was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. I highly recommend Alex and would definitely book him again. Gracias Alex!!

Ismael picked us on time !!! The van was supreme , super clean , super comfortable . We went to hierve el agua and the day was perfect !!! Ismael is also a super good driver !!!!

We had a delightful time visiting many pottery shops and villages with our guide Edgar. He was knowledgeable about where to find my particular items I was looking for. Edgar was really fun to spend time with and both my daughter and I will book him in the future.

Alex was our guide and driver for 4 days in the Oaxaca City area, and he could not have been any better. He was always punctual, is an excellent driver, and was super responsive to messages, but he was so much more – he is exceptionally well-informed and knowledgable about the area, history, and culture; he is generous in sharing; he pays close attention to what you’re interested in; he’s flexible and responsive; and he’s kind and considerate. He took us a few spots that were off the beaten path, which were really special. Also, his English is outstanding. We’ve traveled all over the world and had many guides, and Alex stands out as exceptional. Our trip was so much more meaningful because of the role that Alex played. We had friends who had been in Oaxaca who recommended Alex, (who had also had a great experience with him) and we’re so glad we took their advice. We can’t wait to return to Oaxaca and we’ll definitely be asking Alex to guide us.

This morning I did a fantastic City tour with Apolo. He was able to give me incredible historic insights into the city. We saw the cathedrals and we visited two museums. He was super friendly, and his English is fantastic.

We had such a lovely time seeing Hierve el Agua and Mitla with Alex! He is extremely knowledgeable and fun to be around. The tour was both educational and fun— I learned a lot and tasted multiple types of mezcal before 10 am!! I’d recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

Ismael is very intuitive! He asked us where we wanted to go and derived our aesthetics and quality level through conversation during the drive. His knowledge of the cultural, the art and artists practicing authentic and cultural significant works was exceptional. He didn’t always take us to the most famous workshops but rather the studio doing the most exciting, ethically responsible, and skillful artists… and reasonably priced. We did a lot of damage. He was amenable to our whim and make alternative plans… always enthusiastically.

Oh and his knowledge of insanely delicious restaurants always ended our joyous trip.

We have used Luis’s services for nearly four years. He, Ismael, and the rest of the team are prompt, courteous, and most importantly, excellent drivers. They recommend terrific off-the-beaten-path tallers and restaurants, and are accommodating with requests. When we want our guests to have a good experience here, we call Luis!

Ismael was very friendly and accommodating, and helped us decide whatever we needed to based on our choices. Conversation with him was fun as we drove to the different places in the tour. He even translated for us at the textile workshop as we were waiting for the translator to come!
